  I love this place - definitely one of my favourite places to dine in Newcastle. The interior is decorated in a Mediterranean style and looks great. It's very cozy and gives a lovely atmosphere. The service is efficient and professional - we didn't wait an excessive amount of time at any point and were always able to get the attention of someone when we wanted it. The food is simply divine - most recently I had their lamb shoulder, which is highly recommended. It's listed in the menu as a shared dish, and could easily feed 3 people. This is one of those places where you can't decide what to order because there are 3 or 4 things you want to order! Oh, and the coffee is great too! Rustica is pretty popular, so bookings are essential. I had no trouble making a booking only 5-6 days in advance however. Parking can be an issue, with only on-street parking available. If you happen to be staying at the Novotel hotel however, it's just a very short stroll.
